HI, I'M ANDREA

(she/her)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience helping others as they have coped with the complexities of grief and loss, illness and end of life, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, caregiving, and difficult life transitions.  Throughout my career, I have worked in children's hospitals, as a hospice grief counselor, and as a psychotherapist in private practice.  These experiences have taught me about the power of human resiliency and adaptation in the face of life's most difficult circumstances, and I consider it a privilege to be of support to others through that process.

While I am committed to life-long learning and professional development, I approach my work, first and a foremost, as a fellow human being.  I value authenticity, kindness, integrity, compassion, connection, and growth, and I bring these values into the work that I do.  I strive to live each day by the philosophy that we are here to learn, grow, connect and care for each other.  I fundamentally believe in concepts of equity and social justice, and I am committed to ongoing reflection and learning to continue working towards a better world for all marginalized and oppressed people.

Apart from my work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, sipping coffee, catching the sunrise, hiking, being in nature, and listening to music... especially live music.
